Planning Your Surgery

Your Initial Consultation

The first step in the planning process is the consultation with board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Rhee. For local patients, this involves a meeting to discuss your interests, concerns, and to answer your questions. Dr. Rhee and his team will also review your medical and surgical history to aid in individualizing your care.

As a courtesy to other patients and our office staff, please notify us 24 hours before your scheduled appointment if you are unable to attend your consultation.

Your Pre-Consultation Information

When you arrive for your consultation, we ask you to fill out basic demographic and medical history forms, which will allow us to evaluate your health status.

Your Procedure Estimate

After your initial consultation with Dr. Rhee, his staff will provide you with an individualized estimate for your procedure. Please note that you will be given this information in a pressure-free environment, after which we encourage you to take time to think over your options.

There are no hidden fees. Price quotes are typically broken up into several different components. These include fees for the surgeon, anesthesiologist, facility, and any implants or non-standard supplies. All of these variables have the potential to change with your particular situation. Should you have any questions, our friendly and knowledge staff is here to address your concerns and inquires.

Scheduling Your Procedure

Once you have made your decision to proceed, the next step is to schedule a date for surgery. Please contact our office at 303.268.222 to schedule your surgery. Our staff will plan and confirm a date with you and arrange for your preoperative visit, if necessary, as well.

Your Preoperative Appointment

Certain patients will benefit from a separate and additional pre-operative visit. Patients who have undergone clearance from their primary care provider will have the opportunity to meet with their surgeon to review preoperative test results and discuss any further questions about upcoming surgery.

Patients frequently bring a list of questions that they have thought of after their initial consultation or after further research on their procedure. Your surgeon will go through these questions to ensure that you are comfortable with your decision to have surgery.

During this visit, you will also be given prescriptions for the medications that you will need after surgery. Our staff will review all pre and post operative instructions and give you printed copies to take home with you.
