A Breast Lift with Less Scarring

A circumareolar breast lift (mastopexy) is a breast enhancement surgery in which the incisions are placed around the edges of the areola to greatly minimize future scar visibility. Also known as a Benelli breast lift or donut lift, this variation of the breast lift can help to reposition the breasts at a more youthful position while maintaining a very natural appearance.

The Benefits of a Circumareolar Lift

The circumareolar breast lift is an effective option for women with moderate breast ptosis (sagging or drooping). Because the incision is made along the edges of the areola, extremely natural-looking results can be achieved after healing with few, if any, signs of surgery.

This type of breast lift surgery is often performed in combination with the use of breast implants in order to improve upon the shape and positioning of the breasts. During your consultation, we can help determine whether you are right for a circumareolar lift or if a full breast lift will be more effective for achieving your desired outcome.

The Circumareolar Breast Lift Procedure

A circular incision is made along the outer edges of the areola—the dark area of skin that surrounds the nipple. From here, your Castle Rock plastic surgeon will then be able to remove any excess skin or breast tissue that may be contributing to sagging of the breast. This helps to improve the skin’s tightness and will help elevate the breasts to a more youthful and perky position. Once the desired result is achieved, the incisions are closed with the nipples placed at an appropriate and natural location.
