This pleasant female presented with a desire to improve the appearance of her abdomen. She had significant skin excess, but almost all of it was in her lower abdomen. Because of this, she underwent a variation of a standard tummy tuck, called a floating umbilicus abdominoplasty. Rather than perform a standard abdominoplasty, which would have left her with a high scar, a floating umbilicus abdominoplasty was performed to provide her with a low scar, easily hidden in standard underwear.
